I started writing reviews for The Nameless Zine in 2014, with my first movie reviews posted in June and my first book reviews posted in July. I'm enjoying this and am almost at 300 reviews.
It's a enjoyable site, run by the WesternSFA, but there's no way to see what any reviewer has written. I like to keep track of my reviews, so here's an index page to list all that I've written for the Nameless Zine.
The Book Nook is the main part of the Nameless Zine, where current genre books are reviewed. The majority of these were supplied to me to review, but a few are books I bought myself.
Jonathan Aycliffe - The Silence of Ghosts (Apr 2015)
W. C. Bauers - Unbreakable (May 2015)
R. S. Belcher - The Brotherhood of the Wheel (Jul 2016)
Beth Bernobich - The Time Roads (Jan 2015)
Alan Black - Chewing Rocks (Dec 2017)
Ezekiel Boone - The Hatching (Jul 2016)
Adam Christopher - The Machine Awakens (Dec 2015)
Indra Das - The Devourers (Aug 2016)
Ed Greenwood - The Iron Assassin (Jul 2015)
Anthony Huso - The Last Page (Jul 2014)
C. Courtney Joyner - Nemo Rising (May 2018)
Seanan McGuire - InCryptid:
Seanan McGuire - October Daye:
Chloe Neill - Some Girls Bite (May 2017)
Peter Newman - The Vagrant (May 2016)
William H. Patterson Jr. - Robert A Heinlein: In Dialogue with His Century, Volume 2: The Man Who Learned Better 1948-1988 (Oct 2014)
Irene Radford - A Spoonful of Magic (Dec 2017)
Marsheila Rockwell - Tales of Sand and Sorcery (Jul 2014)
Mark Rude - Devon, the Demon Duck from Hell (Apr 2015)
Michael Scott & Melanie Ruth Rose - Mirror Image (Apr 2016)
Patrick S. Tomlinson - Gate Crashers (Aug 2018)
Tim Waggoner - Night Terrors (Jul 2014)
The Illustrated Corner is for graphic novels and comic books. It's been especially fun catching up with old 2000 AD material and discovering First Second.
Alex Alice - Castle in the Stars: The Space Race of 1869 (Aug 2017)
Lucy Knisley - Something New: Tales from a Makeshift Bride (May 2016)
Robbie Morrison, Steve Parkhouse, Mike Collins, Cliff Robinson & Colin MacNeil - Hondo City Justice (Sep 2014)
Paul Pope, J. T. Petty & David Rubin - The Fall of the House of West (Oct 2015)
John Wagner - Durham Red: Bitch (Oct 2014)
Odds and Ends, as the name suggests, is for reviews of non-genre books of any description.
J. V. Baptie - The Forgotten (Jul 2018)
Voices from the Past is where older genre books are reviewed, generally those older than twenty years. I hope to review more Victorian adventure novels here and, as of November 2015, I'm working through the Doc Savage series in order, one book a month.
Brian Aldiss - Hothouse (Oct 2017)
Alan Dean Foster - Midworld (Aug 2018)
Alan Dean Foster - Pip & Flinx:
Tim Powers - The Drawing of the Dark (Nov 2015)
Kenneth Robeson - Doc Savage:
Rafael Sabatini - Captain Blood (Jul 2015)
Reel Talk isn't for books at all; it's for reviews of mostly genre related films that are newly released. As these are predominantly mainstream, I wouldn't cover them at Apocalypse Later, though I have reviewed some as part of Monday Night Roundups at Apocalypse Later Now! The Nameless Zine therefore became a place for me to talk trash (or not) about mainstream movies I saw, mostly at the drive-in.
20 Feet Below: The Darkness Descending (2014)
My better half also writes for the Nameless Zine, so I thought I'd index her writing here too.
Kelley Armstrong - Visions (Dec 2014)
Sharon Cameron - The Dark Unwinding (Aug 2016)
My eldest son also now writes for the Nameless Zine, so hey, what the heck, here's his writing indexed as well for good measure.
